Marlis Esenakunov

Marlis is from Naryn, Kyrgyzstan. He is spending his year in the US in Orem, Utah. "I have a very nice host family here. They are such an awesome people. I love them very much. I have six host brothers and sisters: Joshua, Elisabeth, Jeremiah, Jessica, Christopher, Matthew. My host parents Steve and Kris are very good and so kind people. We have a very neat relationship and everything has been so interesting and amusing so far."

Marlis was a senior at Timpanogos High School. "I have made so and have a very good relationship with them and with my host family. It is so cool that the Winter Olympics are going in Utah and I am so happy that I will go to Hockey Olympic Game. Salt Lake is a great city and people in Utah are just impressing."

According to Marlis, "My Exchange year has been so much fun. I'm totally sure that this exchange experience year would always be in my memories as the most enjoyable and interesting moments of my life. I will always remember my brilliant Host Family which was always so nice and loving to me. This precious experience taught me a lot of things. I'm so thankful for the FSA/FLEX program and the American Councils. They are doing a great job!!!"
