Welcome to Salaam Kyrgyzstan
Every June of each year, roughly 40 students from the former Soviet Republic of Kyrgyzstan depart for the United States. They are participants in a US-funded high school exchange program known as the Freedom Support Act Secondary School Program. Also joining them are students participating in the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan high school exchange program. This site is devoted to all the FSA and Soros exchange students and alumni from Kyrgyzstan. Only the best and well rounded students from Kyrgyzstan were selected so it serves them right to get the credit they deserve.
