Group of photos (about 5) that features the melon season in Uzbekistan from the harvesting collection and sorting through to sales in Taskent done on the street.
These are the makeshift homes erected by the melon men for the duration of the harvest out of anything they can get their hands on. Apparently they don't take any building materials with them to their next stop.
I cannot understand why these have been built in a city that was levelled to the ground by earthquakes. Maybe they've been looking further West for a direction!
