Antalya and Side (Greek Ruins)
Antalya, Turkey
Antalya is a southern Turkish city located the Mediterranean Sea. I flew to this city from Istanbul on my way to visit a friend in Alanya, one hour to the east of Antalya. When my Turkish Airlines flight was arriving to Antalya, I was amazed at the beauty of the mountains. Also, it was very warm on the day I arrived, about 70° Fahrenheit or 22° Celcius. My friend first took me to the beach where I took several pictures of Antalya and the Mediterranean Sea.

Greek Ruins - Side, Turkey
Just east of Antalya is a small town called Side. Just outside of Side, my Turkish friend took me to a site with Greek ruins. I was able to take some pictures of the ancient amphitheater and some statutes. A museum is located just outside of the ancient amphitheater (This page actually has the most hits for my web site with the keywords amphitheater and ampitheater). This was the first time in my life that I actually seen any Greek ruins.

There is a museum which holds many of the ancient Greek sculptures from the amphitheater.
